Cybersmart - Dear Emma

Dear Emma,

My name is Matthew and I am a year 8 at Hornby high school. If I won the summer learning journey competition, I would like to buy $40 worth of V-bucks for my favourite game called fortnite. The V-bucks will buy you a lot of skins, skins means outfits or costumes. When you have 2,000 V-bucks you can buy a legendary outfit that costs 1,200 or 1,500 but most legendary outfits are 1,200. I would also spend the last $10 on lollies plus I can buy some $2 shoes.

I hope that I win the summer learning journey comp so I can use my money of what I have written above.

Passion Project- Outdoor Education

For Passion Project I am in Outdoor Education and yesterday I got to see my teachers that are teaching outdoor Education. They are Mr P Daines and Mr Kane, they are great at doing outdoor education stuff like rock climbing, day trams and other stuff. Yesterday we got taught how to put a harness on and how to tie a figure 8 on a rope. It was really fun because some of my friends were in this group. Also on thursday my outdoor Ed group will be going indoor rock climbing and I hope it will be very fun because I love climbing.

Cyber smart

In cyber smart today we were learning how to use google filters. For example we had to search up rugby history and the reason why we are working on this, is because we need to know how to use narrow sentences when we search up a statement or a question.

 Here is my explaining of how I got my answer to the question what is taller out of a basketball hoop or $1 million dollar stacked bills.if you stacked $20 bills until you reached $1 million  , would the stack be higher then the rim of a basketball hoop . Yes you can because the height of the $20 would be 500cm and the height of the hoop is 305 cm so the answer is the stack of money is taller than the basketball hoop..

Drama

Evidence:

1.I saw a homeless man singing outside of the warehouse about 1 week ago and I heard some great singing from the man.A homeless man singing for food


2.In my church every sunday all of the kids sing a song while dancing and I watched some very good moves from some kids and it was all from the value and the bible.Kids singing in church. (A little bit similar to the one at my church)


3.I saw people singing inside the Riccarton mall 2 weeks ago, it made me want to sing there song because of all the beautiful voices.People singing at a mall.(Similar to the one I seen)


4. Saw my little sister's play at church last sunday, It was amazing to see all the liittle kids using such great words.

A google A day

Explorers from Kusiro, Pevek and Namosos arrive at the North pole and check their watches. If they arrived at 11:42a,m, 12:17P.M and 3am, respectively, which team was first.  

What I found out is Pevek arrived first with the time at 12:17pm,  

How I found it was, I searched up What time did Kushiro arrive to the North Pole and it came up with a website with answers to my question. So I found this page, scrolled all the way down to the bottom and found the answer to it and that's how I know that Kushiro arrived first to the North pole.
